This shot here is from Siracusa, Sicily.  This was at the reception up in the hills at a really memorable place.  There was enough food served that I was not worried at all about food for quite a while.  Had a few too many drinks as well.  A couple good friends Giovanni and Anne-Marie had their wedding on May 21, 2005.  This in-fact was the over-riding purpose of the whole adventure, so congrats to them and a big thank you for making it all possible.  Also, thanks to Croatia for being right next door to Italia.  And thanks for the dancers too.  You see Anne-Marie at the very beginning and then some Italianos dancing afterwards.
How does one go from Dubrovnik, Croatia to Bari, Italy?  Well, I jumped on the Jadrolina ferry for an 8 hour ride accros the Adriatic, that's how it works.  Once I arrived in Bari, since I was running late to the wedding, I rented a car.  The train conductor would not allow me to put the bike on the train.  That was discovered after purchasing two tickets from the ticket lady.  She sold me one for the bike and the other for me.  But sure enough, the conductor said "NO".  And that was that.  Otherwise it would have been train and then boat to and then train all the way to Siracusa.
